PAIS program

Sometimes degrees from colleges and universities in other countries are not equivalent to a four- year bachelor’s degree in the United States. The PAIS (Provisional Acceptance for International Students) program provides a pathway for international students with such degrees, who have not already completed a master’s degree, to complete any necessary courses so that they meet the eligibility requirements for entrance to graduate programs leading to an MBA, MA, MS or other type of master’s degree. Admittance to the PAIS program is contingent on an application, strong academic record and a sufficiently high GMAT/GRE score.

Upon admission to the PAIS program, students will be provided with a PAIS Program Agreement and Course Study Outline that will define the requirement that the student must meet in order to continue to the graduate program of their choice. Included in this packet will be a personalized course of study meant to address any academic deficiencies and prepare the student for graduate level course work.

The number of required course hours required in the PAIS program will vary by student but may be 30+. Up to 15 credit hours of post-graduate work done abroad may be applied to this requirement at the discretion of the program and the relevant Office of Graduate Admission. When applying for credit, please keep in mind that in order to complete the PAIS program and continue to the graduate program, students must have a 3.0 grade average. Any grades from overseas courses will not be used in this average.
